Research Opportunities on climate change in Uganda
The Climate Change Advocacy project lead by Oxfam GB Uganda on behalf of the Climate Action
Network Uganda (CAN Uganda) is desirous of undertaking three cutting edge research projects on
climate change to generate new knowledge for strategic policy direction. The research projects
include:
Agricultural risk insurance: aims at examining the feasibility of agricultural risk insurance in regard
to small holder farmers under a changing climate in the context of Uganda
Gender and climate change: aims at examining the key challenges and opportunities for
mainstreaming gender into climate change planning and policy. It further seeks to identify best
practices for policy.
Climate change governance: aims at deepening the understanding of climate change governance,
assessing the effectiveness of existing institutional frameworks and bridging the gaps.
Oxfam GB is now seeking suitably qualified firms and individuals to undertake the research projects.
Note that you can only apply for one of the projects.
